If you are in Jersey City or the surrounding areas at lunchtime on a weekday you must go to Grandma’s Pizza Truck at 3 Harbor Side. The truck is parked from 11-2:30 Tue-Fri.
I love the thin Sicilian pizza he makes after all what could possibly be the problem be with a thin crispy crust topped with sweet tasting plum tomatoes, homemade fresh mozzarella, drizzle of VOO and fresh basil?
I was told by the truck’s owner that they do a good sandwich business but you will have to take his word for it because I have not been able to get past the pizza.
The recession and demise of business in the area as a result has hurt the pizza truck but he is still rolling, so if you are in the area please give this pie a shot. It is a great tasting, straight forward pizza. This style of pizza is popping up all over now, but not all are as good as this one..
